Aggset-1K  is a UV stable single component polyurethane resin specifically for resin bound  aggregates applications. It was developed 7 years ago and has been a popular choice for contractors on the European continent for the last 5 years.  This is a strong and stable resin which offers a good pot life length of upto 4 hours under ‘optimum’ conditions. Unlike traditional resin bound systems which utilise a 2 component system (base and activator) Aggset-1K is a true single component Aliphatic Polyurethane. It reacts with atmospheric moisture and cures to a strong resilient bond, equal to the industry leading 2 component systems!

The gel times can be modified by the use of our complimenting accelerator / catalysts. These are additionally used when the ambient temperature is reduced and also enable the resin to be used over a longer period through the year. 

With its ability to cure by reacting to atmospheric moisture, Aggset-1K is more tolerant of rain showers and condensation when installing.

When installing on concrete we recommend the use of our complimenting single component concrete sealer / primer.

When installing a resin bound system on new concrete or tarmac, both should be weathered for a suitable period prior to installation. Tarmac / asphalt should be weathered for 28 days and concrete should be allowed to ‘dry’ for 30 days per 25mm of depth of concrete. 

For optimum strength we recommend mixing one 7.5kg of Aggset-1K with 75kg of 2-5mm aggregate, 25kg of 1-3mm aggregate and 6.25kg of C52 sand. All aggregates must be dried and free flowing and free from extraneous fines / dust.
